There’s more comments this week, and a few more readers/subscribers. That’s kinda cool, in my book! Thanks, everyone!
IN RESPONSE TO… The Deforestation of Bedford Manor (September 24, 2011)
“Joy says: Change is hard to accept. I understand that feeling also. But I’m so glad that you’re enjoying the benefits of the change. Sunlight always makes things better and now you have more of it.”
You’re so right, Joy. My house is brighter and my spirits are higher. It’s like a whole new world!
IN RESPONSE TO… Friends v. Friends (September 26, 2011)
“Megan says: Aw, Molly! I am so glad that I had that much of an impact on your day today! I was getting really worried about you, so I HAD to do it!
I’m so glad that God placed you in my life and that He made you my writing partner. You’re so easy to talk to, you don’t judge and you really care. I love you so much, white girl!
I can’t wait to get started fully on our book again!”
I love you too, white girl! Keep on writing. No matter what!
“Mary says: So glad your ‘person’ knew you well enough to know you needed her…AND the caffeine!”
I know, right?! She’s a keeper!
“Cris says: Molly, isn’t it amazing when God ‘supernaturally and strategically’ (thanks, Pastor Tom) puts people into our lives to do life with? I am so grateful that He placed you in my path, albeit for a short time in person. I want you to know how much your transparency in your blog blesses me. Thank you. Please keep that heart of willingness to learn what God would be teaching, even in this season of uncertainty in your life. Remember, we don’t know the plan, but we DO know the Planner. And that is sufficient unto today.”
Cris, you bless me too. I still think of Main Street as “our” Starbucks, even though we only had one girl date there. I look forward to learning more from the blessings you share as well!
“Melanie says: Great, honest post. Awesome friend you have there! Love you both!”
You raised her well, Melanie. I’m thankful for the friendship and blessings I get from both of you.
IN RESPONSE TO… Know Your Audience (September 27, 2011)
“Cris says: Molly- funny, funny. “To be Real”. Lol”
Glad you got the pun, Cris. Enjoy your Starbucks!
“Lisa says: Love the coffee/friends reference: tastes and flavors and styles and preferences. How befitting to win a Starbucks card… LOL!”
Sometimes I write like that without even realizing how it ties together. This was actually one of those times I didn’t catch it til it was posted. How cool is that?! BTW, you’re the cinnamon, you redhead!
IN RESPONSE TO… Spiders and Shingles (September 28, 2011)
“Dani Lynn says: I am always online trying to diagnose what could possibly be wrong with me, I have had a bad spider bite from yrs back and I still have a scar from it. I hate creepy crawlies!”
I know! Those tiny creatures can do some major damage! And some people call them “pets”… what are they thinking?!
“Charlene says: Ugh, black widows are one of the few bugs that really creap me out. I’ve been lucky to avoid being bit to date. Love the poem!”
Now that you’ve moved out of CA, I bet you have an entirely different brood of creepies to deal with? And thanks, the poem was kind of creepy, too, but I had fun writing it.
“Brittany says: “The moral of this story is, watch tv. Lots of it. You’ll be able to self-diagnose almost anything.” This made me laugh. Dude, I love Royal Pains!
I’m glad it made you laugh, Brittany. Unfortunately, it was entirely a true story. My real life… based on a tv show.
IN RESPONSE TO… Recipe: Slow Cooker Cider (September 29, 2011)
“Charlene says: Sounds yummy! I love cider, but I’ve never heard of adding orange to it, I bet it’s delicious!”
I honestly don’t remember how I got the idea to add orange, but wow. It’s a crowd-pleaser!
“Chelsea says: YUM. now I wish I had a slow cooker…”
You definitely should get one. They’re great for everything from soups to meats to drinks. I have two, and want a third!
“Dani Lynn says: I have never been one to like Cider, but the rest of my family loves it, I am gonna try this one!”
Oh, good, Dani! Please let me know how they (and you) like it. The feedback will help with my cookbook writing.
“Brittany says: I will definitely have to try this when fall gets closer!”
Please do, and let me know how it turns out. Enjoy!
IN RESPONSE TO… The Boys are Back (September 30, 2011)
“Dani Lynn says: Ok MJ, I am a die hard Tigers fan, have been since birth. So I share our enthusiasm about the play offs, but I am cheering for my Tigers! They are gonna kick Yankee butt big time…lol”
Dani, the Tigers have always been in my Top Five, but I can’t be swayed to drop the Yanks. Good luck to your team… hope we can still be friends when it’s over.
“Charlene says: I’m not a big baseball watcher, but I wish your Yankees luck!”
Thanks, Charlene. But I think Dani’s team needs more luck… we got Cano, Jeter, A-Rod… I pretty much have nothing more to say. Except… GO YANKEES!
IN RESPONSE TO… WEEKLY CONTEST #1 (September 30, 2011)
“Brittany says: This sounds like an awesome contest!”
Well, it would have been, had there been some participation. LOL. Since there was none, my daughter got the gift card… but even SHE didn’t know the answer! I’m not really sure how I feel about that…. [BTW, the answer is "Pride of the Yankees" and "Field of Dreams"!]
IN RESPONSE TO… To B in October (October 1, 2011)
“Mary says: I will B grateful for all the Blessings in my life. I will B pulling out my warm hoodies ! 4C here..BBBBBBrrrrrr!”
All of that sounds really wonderful, Mary. Can’t wait to hear about your Blessings. … if one of those hoodies is from Flashpoint, I may have to come steal it from you!
“Dani Lynn says: I will “B” happy when the Tigers beat the Yankees…
My “B’s” for Oct are….
B careful not to get sick
B ready for anything
B open to new things
B a better friend
B a better Mother
and just B happy….”
Those are great To B’s, Dani! A month from now, I’ll ask how you did, so keep track, keep truckin’, and keep being you!
“Charlene says: I adore fall myself. The beautiful weather, reuniting with friends that we haven’t seen over the summer, leaves changing color, and the beautiful, beautiful weather!”
I really miss the weather. Each year brings me closer to moving somewhere greener in the summer and whiter in the winter. Any ideas?

Now that you’ve moved out of CA, I bet you have an entirely different brood of creepies to deal with?
Ummmm…. well yes and no, we have black widows plus other yuckies like hobo spiders
I really miss the weather. Each year brings me closer to moving somewhere greener in the summer and whiter in the winter. Any ideas?
South Dakota is might nice, we just got back from vacation there this summer. Beautiful summer weather, cold winters, gorgeous falls…. I wish we lived there
