Who doesn’t love a good meat-and-potatoes dish? Here’s a great recipe my mom handed down. Quick, easy, delicious… and smells so good when cooking!
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. ground beef, make into four patties
1 medium onion, sliced
2 or 3 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered/sliced thick
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
In the center of a large square of heavy duty cooking foil, place hamburger patty. Top with onion slice, potato, and approx. 1/4 can of soup. Salt and pepper each layer to taste. Wrap tightly.
Repeat for patties 2 – 4.

This another “heritage” recipe, handed down from my mom to me to my daughter. It’s the first oven-dish I ever taught her to make. This is a great recipe that takes only three ingredients. How’s that for a budget! It’s perfect for autumn. Goes great by itself or served with a salad.
INGREDIENTS:
2 cans condensed Cream of Mushroom soup (undiluted)
6 boneless pork chops
1 large can (30 oz.) sauerkraut
In slow cooker, spread 1/2 can soup. Then layer 1/3 of saurkraut, two porkchops, 1/2 can of soup. Repeat layers three times. Add salt, pepper to taste.
Cook on low for 8 hours.
*You can add more layers if serving more than 4 – 6.
