Remembering Fluffy

This post is hard to write. It’s also one of the bigger reasons I didn’t write in December.

Catford Manor is minus one member of our FurFamily.

Our beloved ten-year-old Fluffy fell ill and succumbed to old age on December 19th. For two weeks prior, we nursed her, took her to the Vet, pushed medications into her, and loved her more than I even thought possible.

Meet Zoey

For reasons I’ve yet to disclose, I’ve been quite unable to Blog lately. Time, resources, and a changing of the guard have kept me from my keyboard recently.

Happily, I logged online tonight to find this delightful surprise in my Inbox. While she’s not a resident of Catford Manor, she is a cousin. And she warms my heart. Not a bad way to get back into Blogging, yah?

Catford Manor is Clean!

Every time I walk into my mother’s house, it’s fresh. Revitalizing. Clean.

My mother doesn’t live on a dirt lot or have five cats. She doesn’t have any cats, but for the sake of drama in this post, I’m emphasizing the five cats she doesn’t have… and we do.

My mother’s house is the house my house aspires to be.

For the last ten days, I’ve been intensely deep cleaning Bedford Manor. And even the cats are sleeping better because of it.
