First Morning [Photo Entry]

Epiphanie is at it again… This great company offers amazingly beautiful and durable camera bags that ~ get this! ~ don’t look like camera bags. I swear! They look like a modern woman’s bag.

And this modern woman wants one. So I’m entering this photo in their Picture It: May Photo Contest. This month’s theme is Morning. When I saw that, I immediately knew which photo to submit.

I took this picture on Sunday, October 25, 2009. It was the first morning in my house. My house. The house I’d searched for and prayed for and finally found. It was a quick month of signing my name, packing up the apartment, signing my name, getting new flooring, signing my name, painting, signing my name, packing, signing… you get the picture [no pun intended, but there it is anyway…]

It took one day and four U-Hauls to bring everything over (okay, it was a smaller U-Haul. I’m not a hoarder or anything!).

Because it was so chaotic, my daughter and I slept on our mattresses on the living room floor that first night.

I woke up before the sunrise. When the sun began to creep its colors into the sky, I’d never seen anything as beautiful.

April Picture It photo contest from Epiphanie

Have you heard about Epiphanie Camera Bags? No, you say? But you have a camera. Your camera needs a bag. And it really should be Epiphanie. I discovered them about six months ago and have been drooling ever since to land myself a Lyric in Mustard.

I literally dreamt of this bag a few years ago, before I knew it existed. I’ve been trying to find one ever since. Imagine my pure joy when I found Epiphanie!

So here I am, participating in their April Picture It contest in hopes of winning. This month’s theme is RAIN. And this is my contribution.

I call it

Waiting.
