The Four F’s

I’ve been around the Blogging World for a while now. I’ve met some great new blog-friends (Andrea, Jenn, Ariel, to name just a few). And through my tours of other blogs, I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t. I pay attention to what attracts me and what doesn’t.

And I’ve come to a better appreciation of my blog. It’s not odd at all to think of it like a child or a job or both. This Blog is my Baby; growing, finding its way in the world. Making mistakes, gaining strength.

Why I Write

I don’t understand people who say they can’t write. Everyone has a story to tell. We tell stories every day. We explain things, we give direction. We hold great conversations with those around us. We recount our days for our spouses, our children, our significant others.

I write because if I don’t, it explodes inside me. I write to vent. I write to cry. I write to jump for joy. I write for the pleasure it gives in seeing someone smile. I write for the satisfaction of seeing someone nod in understanding. I write for

Lessons Learned

1. When a guy hangs up on you, it’s okay to never call him back.

2. Don’t spill your guts on the first date, or in the first month, or even the first six months. Guard your heart!

3. People put tons of research into buying a new house, getting a new job, even seeing a movie. Why don’t they do that with PSO’s (Potential Significant Other)?!

4. “Christian” means different things to different people. Speak up!
